Alex Rathke – Founder and Editor-in-Chief

Born in Cape Town, South Africa and now residing in Dublin, Ireland. He is a keen football fan and spends most of his time watching, analysing or coaching football. Having interned in the USA with Major League Soccer (MLS) side Houston Dynamo as an assistant performance analyst, Alex became obsessed with analysis. He has also appeared on TV as a pundit for “Football Made In Germany”, a show focusing on African players in the German Bundesliga. Elsewhere, he has published an academic paper on Expected Goals, passionately speaks about analytics and currently consults for a few clubs in his spare time. His Twitter handle can be found here.

Lindelwe Moyo – Football Analyst

Lee loves his football and started analyzing football matches using a notebook and pen as a 12-year-old in High School. Born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, he’s travelled to ten African countries and been mesmerized by the passion people have for football in these countries. He believes football data analytics will play a major role in ensuring an African country one day wins the World Cup

He started and runs one of the biggest parody Twitter accounts of South African sports with a 10K following, taking a creative & humorous approach to covering major events around South African sports. Aiming to reach the largest possible viewership, he creates content that ensures fan engagement and brings a consistent audience to the page. A keen Kaizer Chiefs and Arsenal fan with a keen eye for detail and stats, he is currently studying Data Science, while driving a passion project analyzing data on South African football.
